Our new baby is finally here! We're going to use this site to share the experience with everyone, including the preparations we made before the arrival, how the birth went, and how things have been going since.
Dabanshi (Samuka) is our 2nd child. The name of our first son / child is Debanjan Nandan Chowdhury ( Kuhu / Bapu ). At times he inroduces him as SWAMI DEBANJAN NANDAN SARASWATI. We, Debaki Nandan Chowdhury and Anjana Chowdhury are extremely thankful for your well wishes and blessings, for which Samuka could come to this world.
The delivery date was 18th Jan, 2003. Anjana drove to Dr. for a check up on the 13th. During checkup, Dr observed baby's heart beat comes down suddenly. Hence she called me from office and asked me to drive to Hospital. Our neighbours Indira and Prachi, helped us in taking care of Kuhu and Anjana got admitted in the hospital on the 13th Jan 2003 at 6 PM. Her doctor Ms. Kathy-azar Mesbahi stayed all night and tried to induce. The next day (14th Jan, 2003) morning I left hospital at 8 AM to take care of Kuhu, dropped him at his pre-school and reached hospital at 12.15 PM. From 11.50 AM to 12 noon, the baby's heart beat came down to 40 / 50 and Anjana had breathless ness. Even the Oxygen did not help much. In 10 minutes, the Dr. did the Cesarean and took the baby out. Later the Doctor explained, she could not contact me or wait for me as the cords were wrapped around the baby's neck, it led to complicacy and both mother and child were in danger.
On the 16th Anjana was supposed to be discharged, but they found Jaundice with the baby. After that came to a level of 10.5, Dr. discharged us on the 19th Jan, 2003 at 6 PM.
